Would like to try to start my veggie plants from seeds. Best way to do this?
We have a little homemade greenhouse set up. We’d like to try to start our vegetable garden from seeds this year rather than buying the plants. But we have a heck of a time getting them going. They seem to grow really fast, skinny and tall. Need some advice on what is the best way to do start from seeds. And then how to make them nice strong healthy plants to be transplanted into the garden.

I’m germinating five different seed types, Can I let them grow together in one greenhouse?
Hi, I’m about to plant five different seed types in soil: Cacao seeds,Rose seeds, Azalea seeds, cuban tabacco seeds, and catnip tabacco seeds.
now I’m going to let them grow in a homemade glass greenhouse I made its a spacious greenhouse, the seeds will be planted in their own little egg carton circle but they will be growing under inside one greenhouse.
By doing this will I come close to any problems?
For example, will the plants let off any gasses that will effect the other plants?

I made this out of a carport frame and 60 mil plastic sheeting. It’s worked great untill this week….there’s been so much cloud cover for a week now that the plants are getting yellow leaves. There are a lot of tomato seedlings that I never repotted and will be throwing out. There just wouldn’t be enough room for all of them when they grow up. The seedlings in the cups are basil that will go into the two hydroponic tables.

Where can I purchase/buy a beautiful 6′ by 12′ greenhouse lean-to for my house?
I am trying to find a very nice greenhouse lean-to to install over my huge patio doors? They were installed back in the 1940’s and they are NOT energy efficient, at all! These doors are about 10′ feet across, that is why I need 12′. A contractor and he said it would cost a furtune to replace the patio windows. All the greenhouse lean-to’s I have found so far are in the $4000-$6000 bracket and that is just a bit to much for me to afford. I am restricted against the homemade kind. The neighbors can ( and they would, because it would bring down their property values) make one phone call and the inspectors will make me take it down, but they can’t stop me from putting up a manufactured greenhouse lean-to. I dont make much and that is why I need to save money and stop the heat loss. Also, the enclosed room would be a great place for my autistic daughter to play and not wonder away.

Will a diploma from Ashworth College’s online program in Landscape Design get me into a job in the field?
I’ve been thinking seriously for a while now about taking classes, or working toward a degree, in Landscape or Garden Design. I found this one, which suits my budget and current time limitations (just had a baby) but don’t want to do it if it’ll only get me laughed at when I start looking for work in the field. I’d be happy starting out anywhere from a garden supply store/greenhouse/nursery, or at a landscape design company.
